Dormhub is an innovative social networking platform designed specifically for university students. Our mission is to enhance campus life by connecting students with peers who share similar interests, enabling them to build genuine relationships, and enrich their college experience through meaningful interactions.
Our flagship product, the Dormhub app, offers a suite of features tailored to the needs of university students. These include a Tinder-like matchmaking algorithm for finding roommates, study partners, gym buddies, or new friends; "Hub Files" where students can share their daily activities and interests; and tools for tracking and participating in campus events. The app aims to foster a vibrant, connected community right on campus.
Born and raised in Miami, Robert Burns attended the University of Miami for his undergraduate studies, majoring in communications with a focus on film. As a student athlete, he dedicated much of his time to honing his craft and spending quality time with his family. In 2021, Robert transferred to the University of Connecticut to pursue an MBA, seizing the opportunity to advance his education and career goals. In 2023, he spent his first NFL season with the Chicago Bears as a fullback and is now with the Atlanta Falcons as a running back.
During his college years, Rob played a significant role in building the presence of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) on campus and established Second Spoon, a non-profit organization that repurposes food waste to help those in need.
Rob created Dormhub as a tool to help his younger cousins navigate the pressures of college life. As a creator, he is dedicated to fostering genuine connections and providing valuable resources for students.
