Jim Beatty Golf Ventures (JBGV) is involved in the $102B golf industry. The main focus is the convening of the African American Golf EXPO and Forum which is a four day event held each August to introduce and educate African Americans on the jobs, careers and business opportunities in golf. This event is in its fourth year and has had approximately 2000 attendees since 2021. JBGV also works on several golf industry task forces and committees involved in D,E and I. JBGV has been involved as Chair of committees including Golf 2020 Recreational Golf ,Supplier Diversity and Player Development. These were all involved with increasing the numbers of African Americans playing golf. Currently JBGV is involved with initiatives with 10 HBCU's to introduce students at these institutions to the opportunities in golf. JBGV has also been involved in founding the Make Golf Your Thing Grassroots Grants program which has allocated $2.5M to 311 community groups involved in teaching youth and adults about golf in the past 5 years.
