The Black Sports Business Symposium speaker application is designed with the community in mind. We acknowledge that a community that is intentionally engaged in the purpose and outcomes of their learning and development, as well as the medium of networking and collaboration will find vested interest and longtime value. Hence, we encourage the community to shape the future of the 2024 symposium, to ensure all things Black and its glory remain at the forefront of our efforts.

We encourage sports’ most passionate, innovative, and courageous thinkers to submit speaking proposals. We seek submissions that provide solutions to industry problems and opportunities on the horizon whilst remaining forward-thinking in solutions and inclusive in ideas. Presentations must energize and provide valuable learning that enriches this landscape and beyond. All submissions must be original in concept and execution, as well as diverse in gender and perspective.

Ideas that emphasize non-stereotypical or non-obvious thinking are highly encouraged. A speaking proposal that avoids being broad and unfocused is more likely to be selected. Specifically, think of a speaking proposal that outlines best practices in the business of sports; offers a sophisticated look into topics of holistic wellbeing in the Black community; explores new leadership approaches and outlook into the future of the business; presents solutions to timeless questions regarding the effective navigation of the corporate system; deliver a deep look into the profound impact of Black culture and community in sports and beyond.

Please note advertorial or brand-centered session proposals and descriptions are not permitted through this Submit a Session form. If you are interested in promoting your brand, please email sponsorships@blacksportsbiz.com

Speakers are required to arrange their own travel and hotel accommodations.

Please make sure to finalize your speaking proposal before the application closes at 11:59 pm Eastern on Friday, February 23, 2024.
