PITCH serves as the centerpiece of entrepreneurial support within the POSTSEASON PLAY. Taking place on Thursday, August 7, 2025, PITCH will host athlete-led startups, innovation focused entrepreneurs, and scalable businesses seeking to work with leagues, teams, and brands within the sports ecosystem.
Interested participants can apply to PITCH using the application form found below. In addition, PITCH will work with partnered leagues, teams, and players associations, as well as other avenues, to identify suitable participants.
In front of a panel of judges throughout sports, interested venture capitalists, and the POSTSEASON PLAY audience, 6-10 entrepreneurs will have five minutes to present their businesses, with two minutes of Q&A to provide additional clarity and context. In addition to pitching for a cash prize, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to engage venture capitalists in a secure environment to maximize their chances of gaining the support and/or investment needed to grow their businesses. Accepted businesses and entrepreneurs will also be profiled here on the BSBS website. Interested athletes will also be provided the opportunity to participate in Athlete’s Accelerator. The winning business and entrepreneur(s) will be presented during the closing of the POSTSEASON PLAY.
